WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL MALAYA & BORNEO VETERANS ASSOCIATION 


The Association is part of a worldwide network.

Membership is open to all who served in Her Majesty's Forces,  the Commonwealth Forces, the Royal Federation of Malaya Police, the Civil Service, Saint John Ambulance and Auxiliary Forces during the Second World War, The Malayan Emergency and the Borneo, Indonesian Confrontation and thereafter.


AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To bring together in true comradeship those who have served in Malaya,  Borneo, Singapore and Brunei during the Second World War, the Malayan Emergency, The Confrontation and thereafter in the above countries.

To assist Members in their time of need by helping to bring to bear referral to and assistance from appropriate Regimental, Service, and Social and Caring Agencies.

To remember with pride, respect and gratitude, those of all Nationalities who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and for their Country, and to ensure that those who fell and the Association are represented on the Day of Remembrance at home and abroad.

To promote the Association and its Aims throughout the Commonwealth of Nations and other Nations and to seek Affiliations with similar Organisations.

To strengthen our ties with Malaysia, The Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

To hold a Annual Reunion.

WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK 

 

It's my sad duty to inform you of the departure from this world of John McAulay (Secretary Doncaster Branch) yesterday 11th October 2019. John was one of the founder members of the association, and with his wife, Gillian, worked very hard to develop the association, although John held many positions within our organisation   to me he was Mr. Doncaster

I am sure that you all join with me in sending our deepest condolences to Gillian.   I believe John will try to start a Branch of the NMBVA in heaven

John's funeral will  be held on the 25th of October 2019 at 14.10hrs at  Barnsley Crematorium,  Doncaster Road, Ardsley, Barnsley,, South Yorkshire S71 5EH

 

and afterward at The Ardsley Oaks opposite the crematorium.

 

 

 

The Malaysian Government have agreed to open up the application for the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal. This award can only be applied for

 

 if you served in the qualifying theatres after the 31st August 1957 when the Malaysian Government was formed. Please ensure that you

 

 include proof of service with your application.
